Vintner Cottage is right out of story book. Located on the gorgeous grounds of Blue Rock Vineyards, nothing was missed when designing this house. Every view was breath-taking. Blue Rock Vineyards not only created outstanding wines but took the time and efforts making the grounds, tasting room and cottage another experience that made you feel like you were in Europe. Rebekah our concierge, did a fantastic job of picking restaurants and setting up our wonderful tours. Loved the trip, hope to be back.

Rebekah, the Inspirato Concierge, was very professional and flexible adjusting at last minute, many of our plans due to the wildfires that were occurring while we were visiting. Though dinner and activity plans were canceled along the way, we still had a lovely time in the quiet of the vineyard and the tasteful and welcoming cottage in which we stayed. Kenny Kahn and his partner Carla, the owners of Blue Rock Winery were very gracious and helpful. It was perfectly suited to our group and provided lovely rooms and spaces for visiting. I would return in a heartbeat to experience a different season in the beautiful wine country of Sonoma County.

Our stay at Vintner’s Cottage was perfectly curated by our concierge, Alicia. We visit 2 to 4 wineries per day throughout the week, and enjoyed a wide range of dining options both for lunch and dinner around the area. The cottage was the perfect base of operations set in the midst of the beautiful Blue Rock vineyard in a very quiet setting. We focused all of our energy on the Sonoma Valley and that was a full plate, reserving exploration of Napa for another trip and we highly recommend this focus. It allowed us to visit some smaller wineries we might otherwise have missed. The cottage was beautiful with incredibly landscaped grounds, a lovely outdoor fireplace where we enjoyed our coffee every morning and very comfortable accommodations for 4.

There are so many incredible things to say about the home and the location I don’t know where to start. We went on a long weekend trip with another couple. The house was absolutely perfect. Plenty of space and literally situated in the middle of an active vineyard, Blue Rock. Great outdoor spaces for dining and real wood burning fireplace. Large outdoor pool with sun and shade and a few seating areas. Make sure you take time to spend at the Blue Rock vineyard. The wine is really special and their story is inspiring. We got to spend time with the owner and founder Kenny. Definitely a highlight of the trip. We had 2 days of wine tastings and various locations and great meals at Valette, Chalkboard and Single Thread. Alicia our concierge made the trip really more than we could have hoped for. Highly recommend. Make sure to set aside time to be at the house and enjoy the surroundings.

This was our first trip with Inspirato and my first visit to wine country. Way to set the bar high! The cottage was quaint, beautifully decorated, very comfortable, absolutely amazing. The grounds were breathtaking even though we stayed there end of January, first of February (it rained). Our concierge, Alicia, really went above and beyond to ensure our trip was the best. She put together the perfect itinerary of restaurants, wineries, transportation, groceries, etc. She even made sure we had extra firewood, fresh chocolate chip cookies daily and a bottle of Baby Blue wine from the winery sitting on the table. Job well done Alicia!! Chef Laura came to the cottage one night and prepared the most delicious meal for us! She brought appetizers out to us while we sat in front of the fire and enjoyed some Blue Rock cab. All of the food was fabulous and we had leftovers one night too. The Blue Rock staff was absolutely wonderful. Carla was a lot of fun and it was very evident she loves what she does. Kenny, the owner, stopped by one morning with a box of pastries from a local bakery…yum. Kenny mentioned coming to Houston on business and we said we would love to host a Blue Rock wine tasting. We were able to get Uber to pick us up a few times, just make sure to allow for the driver to get lost. For whatever reason the Uber map isn’t as accurate as Google maps. Also the WiFi connection isn’t always the best so you may have dropped calls with the drivers. Most importantly though, we didn’t have to drive the 15-20 minutes each way to town for dinner. Overall our stay at Blue Rock was spot on and we will definitely go back.

Not only was the Vintner’s Cottage lovely (french country expertly crafted with luxury amenities) but the location on Blue Rock Vineyards and Winery was magical!

We have visited Napa and Carneros many times for wine tasting, so we decided to explore the northern Sonoma county on this trip. And we are so glad that we did… beautiful landscapes, terrific dining, shopping, and wineries to enjoy the Russian River Valley wines. Personalized tastings were a nice contrast to the hectic, busy Napa valley.

Our favorite tasting was at the Blue Rock Vineyards. We spent two hours with our hosts by the fireplace learning the history of the vineyard and gaining insight to the complexity of the wine-making process, starting with the soil nurturing the grapevines.

We look forward to returning in the fall to participate in harvest activities!

My husband and I have been bringing our daughters to the wine country for three years. They are married now but this is our time as the original family. When we arrived at the Vintners Cottage is was beautiful! It was the perfect place for us. A tour of Blu Rock winery was arranged for us and we were looking forward to it. Little did we know what was ahead of us. We were welcomed by the owner, Kenny. He was amazing! It started off with some great information about the winery (very entertaining stories) and ended with the tasting of the most extraordinary wines. It was definitely a trip of a lifetime!

Vintner’s Cottage is a beautiful property tucked away in the Blue Rock Vineyard outside the small town of Geyserville off Hwy 101. The cottage is ideal for two couples, and is well-appointed and very comfortable. The Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River valleys are easily accessible using this as a base for your explorations. Take advantage of the pool set amongst the olive trees on warm afternoons, and enjoy the outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine as the evening cools.

Catelli’s and Diavola are both good dining choices in Geyserville. Lots of other great choices just a bit further away in Healdsburg – we ate at Chalkboard one evening which was quite good. Be sure to take advantage of tastings at some of Inspirato’s wine partners in the area – we especially enjoyed Copain. And, of course, be sure to set up a by-appointment tasting at Blue Rock with Carla and Kenny – terrific people and wonderful wines!
